NEW GREEK COURSE!
The Apostolic Fathers
Designed for those who have taken at least three to four semesters of Koine Greek, this 12-week class will introduce students to some of the earliest Christian writings outside of the New Testament. The goal of the course is to (1) strengthen and practice reading and understanding Koine Greek and (2) understand how some of the earliest Christians understood and carried forward the teachings of the New Testament. Ideal for beginning students or students who have taken Greek but need a refresher, this 16-week course is the first of two semesters and will provide students with everything they need to know about the fundamentals of biblical Greek. Ideal for beginning students or students who have taken Greek but need a refresher, this 16-week course is the second of two semesters and will continue providing students with the remaining core knowledge not covered in Beginner's Biblical Greek Semester 1. Ideal for beginning students or students who have taken Greek but need a refresher, this package deal includes Semesters 1 and 2 of Beginner's Biblical Greek. Divided into two 16-week sections, this course will provide students with everything they need to know about the fundamentals of biblical Greek. This 16-week course builds upon Beginner’s Biblical Greek by introducing finer nuances of the language and how they impact biblical interpretation. Here the students learn how to closely follow an author’s narrative thought process by sentence diagramming, phrase diagramming, learn the rudiments of textual criticism, and other key tools for biblical interpretation. Assuming the student has taken Intermediate Greek, this 16-week class introduces Bible Arcing, a method of biblical exegesis that visually traces an author’s thought throughout Scripture. In this class, students will read through Paul’s Epistle to the Romans in Greek, while tracing his flow of thought throughout the entire letter. This is our most advanced course and will cover Greek discourse grammar by traversing through the Epistle to the Hebrews. This 16-week class builds directly upon the Bible Arcing learned in the Biblical Greek Exegesis class.
